Strategic Overview & Engagement Strategy
Transitioning CNI from an organic movement to a mature, scalable, and sustainable global organization.
The Vision: Rebuilding Systems to De-Risk the Ministry
The primary objective of this restructuring is to transition Catalyst Network International (CNI) from a loosely coordinated, organic multinational workforce network into a mature, scalable, and sustainable global organization. The current decentralised model has driven rapid expansion but has resulted in unpredictable operations, fragmented chapter execution, and severe burnout among central leaders due to excessive responsibilities.
The vision is not merely to build a corporate structure, but to de-risk the ministry by implementing systems that protect the set man’s bandwidth, decentralise execution, and institutionalise the mission without losing its core spiritual intensity. This structural transformation will provide the institutional backbone required to unlock capacity for long-term growth and protect the longevity of the ministry's mandate.
Your Role and Engagement Strategy
To successfully navigate this transition, your posture must shift from an operational architect to a change manager. The greatest risk in this restructuring is that formalizing structures will feel like a corporate takeover that threatens the ministry's relational, prophetic identity.
Operate as a Change Manager
Frame every new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), reporting line, and budget control not as a rigid rule, but as a necessary vessel designed to hold and protect the revival movement from operational collapse.
Anchor to the "Wholesaler" Metaphor
Visionaries naturally gravitate back toward the frontlines. Whenever you sense scope creep or an urge from Pastor Lawrence to bypass the new leadership layers, gently anchor him back to the wholesaler vs. retailer metaphor to remind him of his true mandate: developing others.
Fiercely Guard the "Health Bank"
Act as the absolute protector of his master calendar and physical reserves. When inevitable scheduling conflicts or sudden ministration requests arise, frame your pushback around the agreed-upon vision. Do not say, "You don't have time." Instead say, "Taking this on violates the health bank principle we agreed the ministry depends on".
Secure Explicit Executive Commitment
Before moving into broad execution, treat the scoping questions (success metrics, resources, and timelines) as a binding contract. Securing Pastor Lawrence's explicit, spoken commitment to these boundaries gives you the relational leverage to hold him accountable when the transition feels uncomfortable.
Isolate Exhausted Leaders
Approach the central leadership team through a lens of triage. Acknowledge that workforces are tired and experiencing irregular participation. Your immediate interactions should focus on relieving their burden by bringing in structured support, rather than immediately demanding compliance with new, complex processes.
